If I throw out a boathook from the boat and catch hold of the shore and pull, do I pull the shore to me, or do I pull myself to the shore? Prayer is not pulling God to my will, but the aligning of my will to the will of God.

Praying is not about making God adheres to our will, God is still God, the ruler of the universe. He’s not a genie who will grant your wish, instead it’s a form of communications between Him and us. Even Jesus when he prayed before he was crucified his prayer was “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” (Luke 22)

Not my will, but yours Lord :)

others may say what they want, others may value me as what they wish, but ultimately my only audience is God Himself, let Him be the judge whether I’m cool or not…
And being cool with God is the best kind of cool, you don’t get any better than that :D
