Today’s kanji is Gold, you can read it as kin from the chinese reading or Kane. The kanji is used for the money kanji (okane) as people in ancient time used gold as means of trading. Imagine the kanji as lots of gold bar being stacked inside a house :D

日 – nichi, in the past the sun have the same meaning as day, because when the sun comes out, it’s day time :D

In the past the 田 square was meant to represent paddy field.
While the 力 represents power. So literally it means the power to work on the field :D, but I don’t think it’s relevant now.

If you don’t know what Kanji is chinese characters adapted to Japanese language. They are hard to remember sure, but hopefully this would help all of us to remember them :D
