Do not be anxious

My church’s bible study group went through the Gospel of Luke series and what a timely reminder. For us to cast our worries and anxieties to the Lord, knowing that our God is bigger than our problems :)

Luke 8:22 -24 ESV
And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, gdo not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!

TATcomic I Love Somebody More

If anything my prayer is that she will always love Jesus more than me :)
For that way she’ll be able to love me in my brokenness.

Guys, if you’re looking for a potential partner, find someone who can love Jesus more :) There is no better relationship than one that’s build on top of Jesus love and grace.

TAT Be Yourself

(Don’t) Be yourself!
Contrary to many motivational teachings, being yourself is not always the best idea ;)
If you’re not sinful and perfect, it might be a good idea, but I don’t think that’s the case with us. Again and again the bible tell us to leave our old self.

We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
(Romans 6:6 ESV)

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
(Colossians 3:5 ESV)

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

(Matthew 16:24-28 ESV)

So shall we be ourselves or shall we deny ourselves instead and follow Christ?
